Milky white opal mica with a soft rainbow glow.
Creates a delicate “glass-like” effect without harsh contrast. Looks especially gentle on nude and pastel shades.
Mica is a decorative material for nail design in the form of thin, semi-transparent flakes of various shapes and sizes, with shimmer or a holographic effect.
Mica looks like small glass or crystal fragments that beautifully reflect light and create a sense of depth and a “glass-like” shine.
Key characteristics of mica:
Light and thin — does not weigh down the nail
Semi-transparent — adapts to any base color
Holographic or shimmering — reflects in various shades
Medium-fine / fine / large — depending on the particle size
How mica differs from glitter:
Mica has a flaky shape, not like sand
Looks more voluminous and luxurious
Creates a multidimensional shimmer rather than just sparkle
Mica application technique (step by step)
Classic method (into the base / on top)
Perform standard nail preparation.
Apply base coat and cure in the lamp.
Apply gel polish of the desired color and cure completely.
Ways to apply mica:
On sticky base layer (classic method)
Apply a thin layer of clear base.
Cure in the lamp for 2 minutes.
Place mica on the sticky layer:
— partially in pieces for accent
— or lightly sprinkle over the entire surface.Shake off excess mica.
Cover with top coat and cure until fully dry.
On wet base
Apply a thin layer of base without curing.
Place or sprinkle mica selectively on the wet surface.
Gently press elements to “sink” them slightly.
Cure in the lamp.
Cover with top coat.
On uncured top coat
Apply a thin layer of top coat without curing.
Place mica using your finger, silicone brush, or applicator.
Gently press elements.
Cure in the lamp.
If needed, cover with an additional layer of top coat.
Finishing
Cover the design with 1–2 layers of top coat
Carefully seal the edges
Cure until fully dry
Tip:
For the smoothest surface with medium-fine mica, it is recommended to use two thin layers of top coat.
